Hi, Laura, and welcome to SourceWatch!

After seeing the Gerald P. Quindlen and Guerrino De Luca articles you created today, I wanted to make sure you knew about the standard end sections we add to each SourceWatch articles. They're explained here:

Help:How to add an articles and resources section

We also try to add at least one or two categories to each SourceWatch article we create. The full list is here: Special:Categories

Categories that get used a lot are people, corporations, and country names. You simply add a category by typing in "Category:People" -- in double brackets like this [[ ]] -- at the bottom of the page.

a few pointers

Thanks for your continued work on SourceWatch. I just saw the profiles you started on Steve Krakauer, Glynnis MacNicol, Rachel Sklar and Colby Hall, and wanted to share a few pointers.

As you can see from this difference display, I've added our standard article end sections, as described here: Help:How to add an articles and resources section. These sections are important to add to articles as they're created, to establish where different types of basic information should be added to the page.

Also, please see the reference formatting on SourceWatch:References. For online articles, the reference should link the article title directly to the article itself (not to the homepage of the site where the article appears). We also list authors by (first name last name) -- like "Dan Abrams," not "Abrams, Dan." Also, the reference date should be at the end, and formatted like "July 7, 2009."

Lastly, if you're just starting a basic profile, we encourage you to include the "stub" tag, to mark it as an article that others are encouraged to help expand. To do so, you simply type this at the bottom of the article: {{stub}}
