Burma Democratic Concern is founded in 2008 is a Global organization in London,USA and Thailand.Learning from the 1988 popular uprising, 1996 student demonstrations, 1998 student demonstrations, and 2007 saffron revolutions; the need of political environment inside Burma is extremely essential to pressure the regime persistently to do reform and also to educate the people about their rights and mobilize them.
Burma Democratic Concern is equipped with participants who had political background and in depth knowledge of Burma issues.
The work is largely inspired by their experiences and the appalling conditions they encountered inside Burma.
Burma Democratic Concern is the leading Global campaign achieved in raising awareness about Human rights violations and urgent medical needs for political prisoners inside Burma.
Burma Democratic Concern is currently lobbying these issues
{1} United Nations Security Council to issue the binding resolution on Burma to resolve the crisis
{2} Human Rights Council, United Nation High Commissioner for Human Rights, International Labour Organisation and International Criminal Court to take action on Human Rights violation cases of Burma
{3} to present United Nations Secretary General Special Representative’s office in Burma to facilitate the dialogue process and to monitor the progress
{4} to increase more awareness
{5} to recognize the 1990 election’s result by the Burmese Regime and to transfer power to National League for Democracy which won the election by 89% of the vote
