Since May 2007 Miriam Lyons has been Director of progressive think-tank the Centre for Policy Development in Sydney, Australia. In May 2008 Miriam will visit the US and UK researching the differences and similarities between progressive and conservative think tanks' approaches to transparency and participation.

She previously worked on Australian content for Sourcewatch as part of a investigative journalism project at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2005.
