U.S. & U.K. Intelligence Reports on Iran: August 2006

First, Chatham House (the UK's Royal Institute of International Affairs) announced the release of "Iran, Its Neighbours and the Regional Crises," a Middle East Programme report edited by Robert Lowe and Claire Spencer, in the August 23, 2006, news release "Iran’s regional position is key to its strength."
This was immediately followed by the release of the Staff Report "Recognizing Iran as a Strategic Threat: An Intelligence Challenge for the United States" prepared for the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Subcommittee on Intelligence Policy, U.S. House of Representatives, dated August 23, 2006 (transmittal letter dated August 18, 2006).
