Tribal Group
"Tribal was founded by Henry Pitman, a member of the family that invented the famous shorthand system...He decided to call the company Tribal, reflecting the bringing together of these different businesses into one ‘tribe’, as well as his love of Africa, where he had lived for a number of years.
"From its beginnings in a Cotswolds cottage in 1999, Tribal grew rapidly and was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2002 – a significant achievement for a new company.
"In the last few years our education and technology services have grown and strengthened, and in 2011 we streamlined our business to focus on these areas of expertise. We work with a wide range of organisations, including schools, colleges and universities, prisons and social services, government agencies and large and small employers."[1]
