Biographical Information
"A media historian and a doctoral student at Bournemouth University, he has recently published a history of Independent Radio in the UK, Sounds of Your Life.
"He was Chief Executive of The Radio Authority until it was subsumed into Ofcom in 2003, where he helped to set up the new regulator. He had been previously Managing Director of Tyrrell and Green department store, as a principal director of the John Lewis Partnership.
"Tony is a Quaker, with keen interests in music, cricket and sailing." [1]
