Biographical Information

Thomas Amelio, Managing Director and Vice President of the New York Open Center. "A founding member and senior teacher at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health for 20 years, Thomas has worked with Deepak Chopra’s Infinite Possibilities Media, the Ross Institute for Well-Being, in East Hampton, NY, and noted authors in the field of wellness and consciousness such as Andrew Weil and Thomas Moore. He is a teacher and course programmer at the Open Center, and edited Swami Rajarshi Muni’s classic book Yoga: The Ultimate Spritual Path." [1]

"While living in India, he edited the book Yoga:The Ultimate Spiritual Path --a comprehensive work on yoga philosophy, by Rajarshi Muni, published in 1994.* He is a singer-songwriter, with a solo CD, Inner Quest , and the jazz-pop-World-Music fusion CD Shakti Fusion put out by his 8-piece band of the same name.
