I have relocated the following unreferenced points to the talk page. I did a search and could find no supporting material--Bob Burton 18:35, 6 Jan 2005 (EST) --

  • and is known to have supported UK libertarian causes financially.
  • The Observer newspaper's Pendennis gossip column claims that whilst working for David Hart he wrote the jokes for Thatcher's last speech to the Conservative Party Conference.

I removed this reference as, reading the article, there is no way of knowing whether it was the Paul Staines referred to in this article or someone else with the same name. Apart from which, it is a little peripheral to his work as a political blogger. --Bob Burton 14:43, 16 January 2007 (EST)

  • "[Briton is injured in Pamplona bull run' [1],The Times, July 8, 2002 reports that Paul Staines, a 37 year old Briton, received facial injuries after being tossed by a bull during the famous run.
