Talk:Malaria therapy for AIDS

This needs links to the drugcos that benefitted from the abandonment of this cheap and effective therapy, the doctors that convinced the WHO to go the drug route, the PR firms that worked for the drugcos and who possibly paid the doctors and institutes, etc.. It's a small number of names responsible for a pretty vast human devastation, probably more than any one military matter.

And while Heimlich is a credible source, and he does personally seem to blame drugco pressure for the abandonment of a highly effective therapy, other doctors who worked on this avenue and can attest to the pressure from drugcos must exist.

Would be useful to get a quote from Stephen Lewis, the UN Special Envoy on AIDS, about this. He's usually good for a blunt statement or two.

I realize the Mark Harrington quote was put there for balance, but I'm not sure it should be there...saying the technique won't work and that Heimlich should be put in jail doesn't convincingly explain _why_ Malaria treatment wouldn't be effective.
