I removed the following as it is pure opinion:
Do not make any business plans or deals with this man. He is full of fabrications of how the thinks things happen.

I removed the following unreferenced opinionated material subject to substantiation:

Christy is full of fraudulent claims. He is a sociopath and a pathological liar.
Anne Landman, SW Editor

I have reverted a series of unreferenced changes and a significant unexplained deletion made by Ccnwashdc to the article. --Bob Burton 19:35, 23 July 2007 (EDT)

Rescinded?

I deleted the statement that the Chistian Coalition "rescinded" the offer to Christy to lead the organisation. The cited references actually states "But before the coalition’s leaders officially turned over the reins of their 1.2 million-member national lobbying group, they learned of a trail of legal and financial problems that has followed Christy from coast to coast." Hannah Elliott, Rising evangelical star Jason Christy leaves trail of fraud, associates say Baptist Standard, August 1, 2007. But it doesn't actually state that the offer was rescinded. And the article doesn't have a comment from the CC on what happened. --Bob Burton 00:38, 2 August 2007 (EDT)

The ABP article on The Church Report

The ABP article - which is currently unavilable on the source site - recounts allegations from Gary McCullough from the Christian Communication Network and Christy's dismissive response. So the article is not conclusive on the point on whether 30,000 copies have been printed or not. --Bob Burton 00:52, 2 August 2007 (EDT)

Protecting Page

Given the issues with the recent edits I'm going to temporarily protect the article page. Material proposed for addition can be posted here on the talk page and it can then be checked before being added to the article page. Given the magnitude of the allegations it is likely that there will be further articles in the near future that may clarify some of the specific accusations.--Bob Burton 00:52, 2 August 2007 (EDT)
