Talk:Corporatocracy

Mussolini said very specific things like "fascism should be called corporatism". It's absurd that he is not quoted more, given what's going on. Mussolini's vision, after variations by Hitler and Stalin, with some learning from Lenin's dictatorship of the proletariat or soviet model, is more or less what the Bush League is about.

--- Agreed, though I'd say what's been happening since is more subtle and insidious. Someone (forget the name) wrote an excellent book in the 80's called "Friendly Fascism" which aptly described everything we're seeing now. Noam Chomsky has also written some good stuff on the subject.

--- Actually, the Mussolini quote above is apparently an Internet hoax quote, so far nobody can find an actual citation. The one to the encyclopedia entry is false.--Cberlet 11:50, 16 Jan 2005 (EST)

I wouldn't call it a hoax, but it is certainly unconfirmed after extensive research, according to [1] and Wikipedia article --Maynard 12:53, 16 Jan 2005 (EST)
