Talk:Tony Blair
Is there a web reference for the register of interests? thanks -- bob
217.39.84.158 - I reverted the speculative suggestion on what Blair might do after he leaves parliament. At SourceWatch our standard is for statements to be referenced. --Bob Burton 02:36, 27 Aug 2005 (EDT)
the reference
there is a reference: DemocracyNow program (and someone entered the offer re: carlyle under SW: Carlyle in any event)
The Amy Goodman reference is worthless
it is passing notice to a Sunday Mirror story without a link, and i was unable to find to find it on the site. A hearsay mention of an unfound Sunday Mirror article is worthless as a cite, no matter where it originates --Hugh Manatee 08:20, 27 Aug 2005 (EDT)
Relocating from Tony Blair article. Entered direct links. Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister (2005), joins the Carlyle Group. DemocracyNow (point in program = 8:56), on August 24, 2005, states:
"In news from Britain, the Sunday Mirror is reporting that PM Tony Blair is expected to join the U.S.-based investment giant after he leaves Downing Street. Nicknamed the ex-presidents club, the investment firm already has on staff former-president Bush, former-British PM John Major, and former-Secretary of State James Baker"

Carlyle Section
I deleted the Carlyle Group section - two of the three links were dead and the only valid one was to a blog post speculating that Blair might get a position at Carlyle. Not worth retaining.--Bob Burton 19:58, 9 July 2007 (EDT)
