Stanley E. Taylor, Vice President for Metropolitan Relations
Stanley E. Taylor joined George Mason University in June 1989 as the Associate Vice President for Operational Services. His responsibilities included programming the use for new and existing facilities, space management, overseeing the development and updating of University administrative policies and procedures and direct supervision of the University Police, Parking Services and the Offices of Fire Safety and Environmental Safety.
In 1999, he was promoted to Associate Vice President for Operations for the George Mason University Arlington Campus. His responsibilities included the administrative and academic oversight and development, coordination and implementation of University policy, academic programs and support services for the Arlington Campus and serves as the University liaison with federal, state, and local government agencies, elected officials and the business community and civic organizations.
In June 2002, Stanley E. Taylor was promoted to the position of Vice President for the Arlington Campus.
Prior to joining George Mason University, Mr. Taylor worked in the field of architecture, which included doing both domestic and international projects. He later was employed by an international organization promoting and facilitating economic development initiatives between the U.S. businesses and foreign businesses and governments in Africa, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
Stanley E. Taylor is a former member of the George Mason University Board of Visitors, appointed by the late Gov. Dalton in 1979.

Bush; Agenda:Alexandria; the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation – Undergraduate Scholarship Selection Review Team; BB&T Bank – Alexandria Advisory Board; National Conference for Community and Justice – Board of Directors; Latitudes Group – Advisory Board; and, Leadership Arlington, Board of Regents.
