This is a genuine grassroots progressive organisation and has no industry ties. It consists of ordinary doctors, nutritionists and scientists who oppose superstition and con artists.

It's goal is consumer protection and to expose the rampant fraud in the alternative medicine industry.

Its Australian equivalent also supports groups which oppose the Pharmaceutical lobby, such as Healthy Skepticism.

Some of its members have a slight right-wing bias on non-health related matters, but their opinions on health care are sound and scientific.

Alternative Medicine industry lobbyists are constantly attacking this organisation, since it exposes their entire industry.
