Talk:Mark Kimmitt
I am in the process of moving material on his father/brother to their own pages where it is more appropriate. Is there a source on the Fallujah quote? Also not sure on the origin of the photo? Is there a credit? I removed the commentary on the military industrial complex etc as being surplus to a persoanl profile page. Substituted security contractor for mercenary -- think the latter is an exaggerated description of their role which as I understood it was as bodyguards/security. -- bob
- * Fine... I hadn't done a very good job of getting rid of all the editorializing in the original article! Ooops, I've already started the Kimmitt, Senter, Coates, & Weinferter article, overwrite it if you want!
No problems -- and good work starting the KSCW page -- I have relocated the ref to Jay as being Marks brother here for the moment as I can find any evidence that Jay is Mark's brother as distinct from someone with the same surname. Nor could I find a source on the quote in the original that quoted Mark stating in relation to Fallujah "the town that just doesn't get it" -- most of the rest of the material was reported by others but I can't find that quote at the moment.

- OK I sourced it: http://djo.mywebcam.com/djov2/?f=obits.html Regrettably, it's a page mourning the passing of another of Mark Kimmitt's brothers. It shows that he has a brother called Joseph living in Arlington, near DC. Is that firm enough? --Oneder 08:52, 21 May 2004 (EDT)
- Meant to return to this ages ago -- I'm afraid what the above at best proves is that Joseph is a brother of Mark and lives near D.C. but not that it can be proved he is the lobbyist for Oshkosh. The weblink for the DJO site is now only accessible to alumni so that link no longer works. In the absence of a web source proving that Mark's brother is the Oshkosh lobbyist I'm deleting it. Seems like a phone call is needed to check the link. -- cheers--Bob Burton 19:09, 3 Aug 2004 (EDT)
