"I've been to war. I've raised twins. If I had a choice, I'd rather go to war."
In this statement, it is clear that war and twins are separate things which can stand alone without requiring the associative support of the other. "I have been to war." is just as unequivocably asserted as fact as is "I've raised twins." One does not require the other for context.
