I am wondering what you have in mind for this article. I am very interested in this area since I am a professional fundraiser, so would like to contribute, but I'm not sure what your idea of fundraising companies is.

Judith: There are funders (the "list" article which you already know about). Like a lot of early SW (Disinfopedia) articles, it was originally nothing more than just a list and grew with the addition of some article links. The "funders" article itself was never explored.

I agree that the title for funders is quite vague. Something like "funders and foundations" is a bit more accurate. Since it would appear from a "what links here" search on "funders" that there are not an excessive number of links, a redirect on the "funders" page to "funders and foundations" should not cause any problems.

What I had is that there is a big difference between being a foundation, which funds orgs and projects, and those who engage in actual (and professional) fundraising. First, somebody (not-so-subtle hint) needs to create the definition ... then there are limitless possibilities for expansion into the various categories of fundraisers, i.e. political campaigns, charities, etc., as well as issues related to fundraising, particularly when it crosses over into PR, marketing, ethics, front groups, etc.

Be my guest and work on this and its many angles. My initial purpose was to create a category/topic that had not been covered and a place to link in The Donatelli Group.
