Talk:Dermod Travis
"A very major shift in policy and procedural traditions had taken place, and Mr. Travis was at the centre of it."
The sources have been provided. Please review them, and if necessary, contact the individuals who wrote them - most of them put their email or phone numbers in their resignation letters. This story belongs in sourcewatch because:
- it is about a takeover of an organization's policy by its PR flacks, which is obviously of some concern
- it helps balance the US-centric commentary of sourcewatch with some Canadian content - more UK content is also required
- no one should be able to take over any political party without deep secrutiny, certainly not a publicly funded one
- it is a rare case where there is a lot of backup in the form of resignation letters, stories on the record validated by the particiapnts (at Wikipedia and at openpolitics.ca)
The additional information appears to have been copied from the Wikipedia and, IMO, adds nothing new here. A referral in Ext Links to the Wikipedia article would be sufficient. Artificial Intelligence 06:42, 5 Jul 2005 (EDT)
I reverted the changes for a few reasons: a) much of the content was off topic for a personal profile page b)key statements were still unreferenced and c) as flagged on previous occasions with 142.** I don't see the point in simply duplicating material from one wiki article in another wiki unless there are compelling reasons. In this case I just don't see them. --Bob Burton 21:25, 5 Jul 2005 (EDT)
