Who is The Coalition for Property Rights?
The Coalition for Property Rights (CPR) is a public policy, education and advocacy organization based in Orlando, Florida, which was founded in 2001 to give property owners and property rights a stronger voice. Our mission is to educate the public and elected officials of the importance of American property rights and to defend these rights from further erosion.
We believe property rights provide the foundation for individual freedom and economic opportunity and are absolutely vital to the prosperity of our local, state and national economies.
We believe excessive government regulation restricts the economic potential, creative and constructive use of property, impedes the ability of property owners to respond to free market demands, and ultimately, impedes the ability of average American property owners to realize the American dream.
Our membership is composed of homeowners, land owners, real estate professionals, attorneys, bankers, engineers, architects, accountants, appraisers, farmers, ranchers, builders, manufacturers, business leaders, retirees and even non-landowning citizens who share one common concern: a growing sense of alarm at the increasing regulation of land use in America.
As a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, CPR's work is entirely supported through the generosity of our corporate sponsors and individual members.
Our members understand that when the rights of any one land owner is impacted, the rights of all landowners are placed in jeopardy. To more effectively defend our individual rights, property owners must unite and increase the volume of our collective voice.
What We Believe Private Property Rights are the cornerstone of any free society.
The intent of the Founding Fathers was for all citizens to have maximum freedom to enjoy and use Private Property.
The primary difference between the United States and nations with government-controlled economies are the protection of Private Property Rights and other Human Rights and the support of the Rule of Law.
Property Rights provide individuals with economic ability to self-defend their other human rights.
During the past few decades, we have witnessed an unprecedented erosion of the basic rights of property owners in America.
With every layer of regulation, American moves away from our Founders' vision of a nation with a limited government.
The political equation is simple: Government powers and authority cannot grow without simultaneously reducing the freedoms and economic opportunities of its citizens.
When government's permission or approval is needed, a freedom has been lost.
To ensure property rights are preserved and that the American dream is passed on to future generations, citizens must unite in support of the rights of all land owners, both large and small.
When any individual's right to use private property is abused or restricted, the freedoms of all Americans are diminished.
The Coalition for Property Rights was founded to provide a greater voice for property owners and property rights in Florida and to work to defend these rights through public education and advocacy.

Their defense of individual liberty is immediately suspect
Look at who these persons are that sit on the board. They represent collectivist business entities that specialise in land acquisitions. Although I was previously unaware of this org; my hunch would be that they are hiding their own interests by wrapping them up in a cloak of individual liberty, when their true intents are to devour individuals' private property holdings.
