Pharmaceutical giants AstraZeneca and [[Novartis]] are the parent companies of [[Syngenta]], a Swiss global agribusiness company formed in 2000 from the agrochemical and seed divisions of Novartis, and the agrochemicals and biotechnology research divisions of AstraZeneca.
