Issues to resolve re SourceWatch: dates:

• whether to link every date, e.g. September 11, November 11 to a timeline and/or discussion of notable events in each year on that calendar date.

• how deeply to discuss inter-relations between events on the same calendar date, so as not to appear to turn coincidence into a conspiracy

• whether to link specific important years, like 1917, 1919, 1926, 1933, 1945, 1948, 1949, 1963, 1973, 1979, 1989, 1991, 2001, or just link all years in anticipation that every year has at least two interesting propaganda events in it.

• whether to support Wikipedia-standard date period links like 1950s or 20th century which are of course dependent on the Western calendar.

• whether to name regimes by leader or date, e.g. China 1949-1979 vs. Red China vs. China under Mao vs. Mao's China. Given that some people dislike the policy favouring many redirects so intensely, a single standard for this must be agreed quite early on.

• whether to use exact times where available - these actually affect dates since events we popularly attribute to a certain day often happen over as long as a 36 or 48 hour period, depending on time zones. Chronology is thus quite easy to manipulate for propaganda.
