Biographical Details

"Sir Peter was Chief Executive of British Telecom from 1996 until January 2002 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ICL plc from 1984-1996. He is currently the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NXP.

"Sir Peter is a non executive director of Dubai International Capital and holds Directorships on the Boards of Sony Corporation in Japan, LM Ericsson in Sweden, US based Mentor Graphics Corporation and Taiwan based semi-conductor company TSMC. He is a Member of the Citi InternationalAdvisory Board, Sony Corporation Advisory Board, Longreach Advisory Board, New Venture Partners LLP Advisory Board, and Advisor to Apax Partners Worldwide LLP. He is also Board Mentor, CMi and Vice President of the British Quality Foundation.

"Sir Peter began his career with Texas Instruments in Europe, USA and the Far East." [1]

"His career has included Senior Independent Directorship of AstraZeneca, Non Executive Director Dubai International Capital LLC, Member of the Citigroup International Advisory Board and Directorships on the boards of the Department for Constitutional Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, B.I.C.C., D.E.S.C. and mm02.

"He has also been a member of the Trilateral Commission, The European Round Table (Steering Group), The High Level Working Group of the European Information Society, the EUJapan Business Dialogue Round Table and the Civil Service College Advisory Board." [2]
