Gerry Acher "is Deputy Chairman of Camelot Group plc, the National Lottery Operator, where he also chairs the Audit, Risk and Security Committee and its Advisory Panel on Corporate Responsibility. He was until recently Chair of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He is also Chair of the London Climate Change Partnership which advises on how London should be adapting to living]] with the results of a changing climate; he is Vice-Chairman of Motability and is Chairman of the Board of Heart of the City a charity funded by the City of London Corporation and the London Development Agency to promulgate Corporate Responsibility in London. The majority of his full time working career has been with KPMG where he assumed many roles including UK head of Corporate Finance and he chaired the Worldwide Auditing and Accounting Committee. He was the founding chair of its Client Service Board and a member of its UK Board and the Senior Partner of its London Office until the end of 2001. He was Founding Chairman of the Audit Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales from its inception in 1996 until 2001 and a Council Member for that period. He was Master of the Livery Company of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales for 2003-2004." [1]
