Biographical Information
"Mr. Simon J. Scott, BCom, B Acc, CA (SA) has been Acting Chief Executive Officer of Lonmin plc since August 2012 and as its Chief Financial Officer since November 15, 2010. Mr. Scott serves as the Head of Financial Services of Anglo Platinum Ltd. (also known as Anglo American Platinum Corp. Ltd.). Mr. Scott served as a Group Financial Director of Aveng Ltd from August 1, 2009 to September 26, 2010. He served as the Business Manager, ASSU of Anglo Platinum Ltd. He joined Aveng in August 2009 from Anglo Platinum, where, over eight years, he has held a number of senior financial positions and served on a number of subsidiary Company boards. Prior to this, Mr. Scott has held senior financial positions in JP Morgan, Chubb Holdings Limited and Nampak Limited. He has been an Executive Director of Lonmin plc since September 27, 2010. Mr. Scott serves as a Director of Aveng (Africa) Limited, McConnell Dowell Corporation Limited and Trident Steel Holdings (Pty) Limited. He served as an Executive Director of Aveng Ltd from August 1, 2009 to September 26, 2010. Mr. Scott is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a B.Com and B.Acc degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, and attended the Management Development Programme at the University of Cape Town."[1]
