Ronald W. Pruessen
Ronald W. Pruessen, "Professor of History at the University of Toronto, is a specialist on twentieth-century U.S. foreign policy and international relations. He is the author of John Foster Dulles: To the Threshold, 1888-1952 and other works dealing with transatlantic relations, U.S-China relations, and the historical roots of “globalization.” A recent publication is “A Globalization Moment: Franklin D. Roosevelt in Casablanca (1943) and the Development of ‘Development’ in U.S. Foreign Policy,” in Stephen M. Streeter, John C. Weaver, and William D. Coleman, eds., Empires and Autonomy: Moments in the History of Globalization (2009). Current projects include Cuba, the United States, and the World, 1949-2009 (co-edited with Soraya Castro) and The Manager: John Foster Dulles and the Global Management Impulse." [1]
