Why is it that the heads of the tobacco companies that went before congress and lied straight faced during congressional hearings were never charged with contempt of congress? Does Congrees simply have no ability to punish individuals and their corporations for lying about the genocide they perpetrated on the American public.
Terrorists have nothing on the tobacco industry killing millions every year.

Why wern't these animals stripped of every penny they ever made, thrown in jail, held to the public ridicule they deserve.
The bottom line is that Congress makes the laws and they have not made it illegal to murder the portion of the public who are addicts of nicotine, and while dying the rest of the public pays medicare and medicaid to treat the litany of maladies perpetrated by the tobacco industry on fellow Americans. These are the peoples representatives.
