Peter Montague
Peter Gunn Montague "is co-founder and director of Environmental Research Foundation (E.R.F.) in Annapolis, Maryland. The purpose of E.R.F. is to offer community organizations information about environmental problems and the technologies and policies that might contribute to their solution. Mr. Montague edits E.R.F.'s weekly newsletter, Rachel's Environment Health News. Rachel's provides grass-roots community groups with technical information about human health and chemical contamination in an understandable form. "For eight years (1971-1979) Mr. Montague taught "Environmental Impact Analysis" and "Statistical Research Concepts and Methods" in the School of Architecture and Planning at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque where he was associate professor of planning. From 1980 to 1983 he was project administrator of the Hazardous Waste Research Program in the School of Engineering/Applied Science at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. From 1983 to 1990 he was employed in the computer field as Manager of Distributed Computing in the Office of Computing and Information Technology at Princeton University. During 1991 he was employed by Greenpeace USA as a senior research analyst in the Toxics Reduction Campaign. Mr. Montague is a historian holding a Ph.D. in American Studies from University of New Mexico (1971)." [1]
His PhD was titled "Ralph Nader and Barry Commoner: strategies for public interest research, including three original case studies" (Thesis (Ph. D.)--University of New Mexico, Dept. of American Studies, 1971).
