Patrick J. Durkin "was sworn in as a member of the Board of Directors for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) on September 17, 2008. He is currently a Managing Director for JFitzgibbons LLC in New York, NY a private equity firm targeted to making investments primarily in the developing markets.

"Mr. Durkin retired in April 2008 from Credit Suisse after 23 years with the bank and its predecessor firm Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ). At Credit Suisse, he was a Managing Director of the Investment Management and Investment Banking Divisions. At DLJ he was the Managing Director of the International Banking Department which operated throughout Asia, China, India, Southern Africa, Russia, Latin America and Europe. Mr. Durkin was a Special Assistant in the U.S. Treasury Department during the Reagan Administration and was on the Executive Staff of President Reagan’s Commission on the 1987 Market Crash (Brady Commission). Prior to that, he was a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives.

"Mr. Durkin is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, the Council of Excellence in Government, and a Board member of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the American Red Cross of New York, and the College for Every Student Foundation.

"Mr. Durkin received his BA from Middlebury College, and his MBA from Dartmouth College." [1]
