Biographical Information
"Nicola has been lobbying to prevent and protect people in crises for more than 15 years. Much of that time has been working for Oxfam - as a policy adviser on the Great Lakes for Oxfam GB, as a lobbyist in Oxfam International's Washington DC advocacy office, and setting up Oxfam International's New York office where she was the head from 2002-2007, but with periods as a consultant for the UN in Rwanda and a fellow at the Overseas Development Institute's Humanitarian Policy Group in London in between. From 2008–2010, she was the Director of Advocacy at the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Most recently, she has been advising online campaigning organisation Avaaz." [1]
