Biographical Information

"Nancy would live in a treehouse if she could. For this reason, she feels very at home in the Amazon where she developed a passion for unique rainforest edibles and for improving the lives of the communities who depend on forest resources. Her quest for a “yes and” approach to conservation and poverty alleviation lead her to CIAT where she worked to create a community engagement toolkit to improve trade relationships between smallholder suppliers and modern markets. With a Sustainable MBA from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute and years of experience helping clients to visualize and communicate their mission, she desires to amplify the spirit and voice of the common individual.

"Nancy is co-founder of the Amazon Research and Conservation Center and Founding Board Member of Wild Forests and Fauna. She believes creativity is our most valuable resource for positive change and is inspired by those who desire to make the world a better place. She stewards this passion by facilitating the design of systems and structures that enable greater collaboration and organizational harmony. She calls San Francisco home and when not shopping for unique and handcrafted treats, she is often found on a bicycle or a nearby mountain top."[1]
