Biographical Information
"A former soldier commissioned into the Royal Green Jackets, Matthew served in Germany, NI and Hong Kong, captained the Army cricket team and represented the Combined Services.
"He joined Kent in 1989 and enjoyed a 13-year career with the county including a spell as captain from 1998 until his retirement in 2002.
"He played 11 one-day internationals for England and is a former Chairman of the PCA.
"Since retiring he has managed an investment fund, been a director of Ian Fleming Publications, and is a Director of FF and P Private Equity.
"He is a member of the MCC’s Committee and has spearheaded its efforts to develop cricket in Afghanistan."[1] His background was Eton and he is also nephew of Ian Fleming.
