Mary B. Anderson, "Executive Director of CDA Collaborative Learning Projects and President of CDA, Inc. has worked in international development assistance for over forty years. Named as "the most influential theorist in the world of humanitarianism" (NY Times Magazine, Feb.11, 2001), she is more typically known for CDA's pragmatism and grounded approach to solving problems faced by the staff of international agencies. Before starting CDA, Inc., Dr. Anderson was Program Officer with the Harvard Institute for International Development, Director of the Bunting Institute at Radcliffe College, and Director of the International Relief/Development Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and held a post-doctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. CDA Collaborative Learning Projects, a non-profit entity, established by Mary Anderson in 2003, broadens the scope of collaborative training, learning, and new project development with many international governments and NGOs."
