Martha Twitchell Muse
Martha Twitchell Muse "is the Chairman of the Board of The Tinker Foundation. Among its founding directors in 1959, she assumed the Executive Directorship in 1965, became its President in 1968 and served in that capacity through 1995. In 1975, at the time of the incorporation of the Foundation, she became the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
"Ms. Muse is currently a director of various organizations, among them the Americas Society, the Council of the Americas, the Spanish Institute, the U.S.-Spain Council, the Cuba Policy Foundation, and the Luso-American Development Foundation. Ms. Muse has received various awards in the field of Latin American and Iberian Relations, including the Orden al Merito por Servicios Distinguidos en el Grado de la Gran Cruz from Peru and the Order of the Southern Cross from Brazil.
"Ms. Muse was the first woman to be elected to the Board of Trustees of Columbia University and continues today as Trustee Emerita. She is also a long-time member of the Council on Foreign Relations." [1]
