Mark D. McGarvie
Professor Mark McGarvie "has taught history and leadership studies at the University of Richmond since 2003. In addition to his teaching, Professor McGarvie currently serves as the director of pre-law advising. He earned his Ph.D. in history from Indiana University in 2000 and his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 1981. He also was a post-doctoral Golieb fellow in legal history at NYU School of Law.
"Professor McGarvie has taught at SUNY at Buffalo Law School, the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary and the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. He practiced law from 1981 to 1994, working at the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and as chief labor counsel for Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Chicago, at the time a $9 billion, 60,000 employee multi-national corporation. He has published two books and numerous academic journals." [1]
