Marifeli Pérez-Stable
Marifeli Pérez-Stable "obtained her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of New York, Stony Brook. She has been a professor of politics and sociology at the State University of New York and a visiting professor at FIU’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Dr. Pérez-Stable’s professional activities include Project Director of Memory, Truth and Justice: Comparative Perspectives on National Reconciliation; member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Interamerican Studies and World Affairs; member of the Latin American Studies Association Executive Council; past president of the Institute of Cuban Studies, member of the Board of Directors of the North American Congress on Latin America, past vice president of the Cuban Committee for Democracy and member of the editorial board of Cuban Studies/Estudios Cubanos. She has published numerous books and articles in English and Spanish and has been the recipient of several grants." [1]
