Maria C. Richter "retired as a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley in 2002. While at Morgan Stanley, she was Head of Independent Power and Structured Finance (1992-1996), Head of Investment Banking for the Southern Cone region consisting of Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay (1996-2001) and a Senior Banker in the Retail and Consumer Group (2001-2002). Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Ms. Richter was a Vice President in Investment Banking at Salomon Brothers. She also spent seven years at The Prudential and its affiliate Prudential Power Funding where she was responsible for providing financing to electric and gas utilities, independent power companies and projects. Ms. Richter currently sits on the Board of Directors of National Grid, plc (United Kingdom), Pantry Inc. (USA) and Vitec Group plc (UK) and on the Private Equity Advisory Board of Republic Financial Corporation in Denver. She earned her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and a JurisDoctor degree from Georgetown University." [1]
