Louis Camilleri was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Altria Group, Inc., Philip Morris's parent company, and a Member of the Board since April 2002. In May, 2009 he was Chairman of Philip Morris International. [1]

Biography

Camilleri joined Philip Morris Europe in 1978 as a Business Development Analyst. He held various staff positions focusing in the Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (EEMA) Region of Philip Morris International (PMI). He was appointed Director, Business Development & Planning, in 1982 and in 1986, became Vice President of the EEMA Region.

Camilleri was appointed Vice President, Central & Eastern Europe, PMI, in 1990. In July 1993, he transferred to PMI’s European Union Region, where he was a Senior Vice President.

Mr. Camilleri became PM's Vice President of Corporate Business Strategy, in February 1995. In August 1995, he became Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning, and in December 1995, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Kraft Foods International.

Prior to joining Philip Morris Europe, Mr. Camilleri was a Business Analyst with W. R. Grace & Co., in Lausanne, Switzerland.
