Charles Aldington

Charles Aldington (Lord Aldington), "formerly Charles Low, joined the Board of the Institute for Philanthropy in September 2008. As Chairman of Deutsche Bank London, he chairs the Bank's main UK Regional committees, represents the Bank towards the UK Authorities and does client work. Lord Aldington joined Deutsche Bank in 1986 and worked in Germany before joining the management of Deutsche Bank's London business in 1988. In 1997 he moved into a Corporate Finance role and took up his current position in 2002. Lord Aldington was educated at Winchester College, then Oxford University (where he read Philosophy Politics and Economics) and INSEAD. His early career was with Citibank and Grindlays Bank in New York, Hong Kong, Düsseldorf and London. He is a member of the Chairman's Committee of LIBA, on the Board of the BBA, Deputy Chairman of the Royal Academy Trust, a member of Oxford University's Court of Benefactors, a Governor of the Ditchley Foundation, and Chairman of Stramongate Ltd. Lord Aldington is married to Dr Regine von Csongrady-Schopf, an art historian, and they have three school age children."
