Background on Plant

The 80-MW coal-fired Kemerovskaya combined heat & power (CHP) power station is owned by SUEK.[1][2]

The plant should not be confused with the Kemerovskaya GRES power station or the Novo-Kemerovskaya power station.

Accidental fire

In November 2018 the inlet and outlet flues of the main boiler accidentally caught fire during a test of the plant's equipment.[3]
