Biographical Information
"Michael graduated from Glasgow University, Scotland, as an engineer in 1968. He held numerous engineering positions on various mining operations and projects and was Chief Executive Officer of Implats from 1990 to 1998. He was appointed Executive Chairman of Implats in 1993 and in 1998 became Executive Chairman of Gencor Limited and Non-executive Chairman of Implats. In June 2002 he retired as Chairman of Implats and continued on the Implats Board as a Non-executive Director. He is currently a director of Murray & Roberts Holdings Limited and Chairman of Central Rand Gold SA Limited." [1]
