Joseph N. Onek
Joseph N. Onek "is the Constitution Project's senior counsel and the director of its Liberty and Security Initiative. Mr. Onek has worked with a number of political and legal organizations, and brings a wealth of expertise on civil liberties and national security. He served as Deputy Counsel to the President during the Carter administration and as Principal Deputy Associate Attorney General and State Department Rule of Law Coordinator, during the Clinton administration. In addition, Mr. Onek was a Law Clerk for Justice William J. Brennan and Assistant Counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee. In the private sector, Mr. Onek was the Director of the Center of Law and Social Policy and is a former Partner in the law firms Crowell & Moring LLP and Onek Klein & Farr." [1]
