Biographical Information

"Jim has three decades of experience in sustainable systems design, information technology, and renewable energy. He left MIT to found an industrial design firm, has developed 3D software as a Geometry Partner with Silicon Graphics, and most recently exited a startup in biochar, a promising method of removing carbon from the atmosphere. He is passionately engaged in a narrative that situates technology within the context of biological evolution. Meta Nature illustrates how and why our moment in history is in a phase change of climax technology that can and must lead toward a plateau of long-term energy and carbon stability. He is currently working on development of the distributed network platform for Planetwork. In addition to Planetwork, Jim currently serves on the board of the Buckminster Fuller Institute and XDI.org."[1]
