Independent Testing Authority (ITA)

An Independent Testing Authority (ITA) is a company chosen by the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) to test whether e-voting machines meet the national voluntary voting system standards for the United States. [1]
According to the Associated Press, as at August 2004 the following companies were operating as ITAs: [2]
