Hallmark Cards is the largest producer of greeting cards, being sold in more that 43,000 retail stores in the U.S. 4,000 of these stores have the Hallmark Gold Crown name. Brands for the cards are Hallmark, Shoebox, and Ambassador, and through subsidiary Sunrise Greetings - Sunrise, Max & Llucy, Dena Designs, and WeinerDog. Hallmark also owns Crayola which makes crayons and art supplies for children, such as markers and craft and activity kits which are sold throughout the world. Hallmark's subsidiary Crown Media Holdings has the Hallmark Channel which specializes in family-oriented programming and reaches 75 million people in the U.S. [1] [2] [3]

Adele Hall, whose husband is Donald J. Hall - Chairman of Hallmark Cards, is a Bush Pioneer (see Bush's Rangers) having raised at least $100,000 for Bush in both the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. Hall ranked No. 104 in 2003 on the Forbes 400 Richest Americans, with an estimated net worth of $1.9 billion. They are leading donors to the GOP. Adele Hall held a fundraiser for Bush before he publicly announced his presidential candidacy. [4]
