Biographical Information

"Mr. Edward W. Njoroge, Eddy, EBS has been the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) since 2003. Mr. Njoroge serves as the First Vice President of the Union of Producers, Distributors and Transporters of Electric Power in Africa (UPDEA). Mr. Njoroge serves as the Chairman of Nairobi Stock Exchange Ltd. He serves as the Chairman of Telkom Kenya Limited and Aureos East Africa Fund, L.P. He serves as the Chairman of The World Energy Council, Kenya Chapter. He was the founder and Chairman of ABCON Ltd. He serves as a Director of Kenya Electricity Generating Company, Aureos Capital Ltd., Marshalls (EA) Ltd., CFC Stanbic Bank Limited, Real Insurance Company Limited (Kenya), Stanbic Bank Kenya and Proctor & Allan East Africa Ltd. He serves as a Director of Orange Kenya (Telkom Kenya Limited). He has been a Director of CFC Stanbic Holdings Ltd. since May 21, 2010. He serves as a Non-Executive Director of Access IT. Mr. Njoroge served as a Non-Executive Director of AccessKenya Group Limited from June 22, 2007 to March 26, 2010. He holds BSc degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Makerere University." [1]
