"The Duke of Wellington is Chairman of Richemont Holdings UK, and a Director of Compagnie Financière Richemont and RIT Capital plc. He was previously a director of Sanofi SA and of Pernod Ricard SA. He was a Member of the European Parliament from 1979-1989. He was a member of the Council of the Royal College of Art from 1992 -1997; and he was a Commissioner of English Heritage from 2003-2007. The Duke was Chairman of the Council of King's College London from 2007 until July 2016. In October 2016 King’s College, London, awarded him an Hon DLitt. In 2015 he was elected to the House of Lords as a representative Hereditary Peer. He was educated at Eton College and Christ Church, Oxford". [1]
