"With more than 32 years with Mobil Oil Corporation, Curtis Brand twice served as Chairman and CEO of Mobil Saudi Arabia, Inc., the largest foreign investor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (1988 to 1993 and 1998 to 2000). During his tenure in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Brand was responsible for Mobil's refining and petro chemicals businesses in the Kingdom, as well as its marketing businesses throughout the Middle East.
"From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Brand was the General Manager of Mobil's Global Supply and Trading business for the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In that capacity, he managed all of Mobil's international purchases and sales of crude oil, refined products, lubricants and liquefied petroleum gas, as well as the company's hydrocarbon price risk exposures around the world. Before serving in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Brand managed and operated Mobil's global fleet of crude and product tankers. He retired from Mobil in October 2000.
