Burton J. McMurtry
Burton J. McMurtry "has been a Silicon Valley venture capital investor since 1969. He co-founded several venture capital partnerships, including Technology Venture Investors (TVI). TVI-backed companies include Adaptec, Altera, Compaq, Intuit, Linear Technology Corporation, Microsoft, Nellcor, PMC Sierra, Quantum, SpectraLink, Sun Microsystems, Synopsys, VeriFone, and Visio. Mr. McMurtry serves as a trustee of Rice University, Stanford University, and the Carnegie Institution of Washington. A native of Houston, Texas, he holds a BA and BSEE degrees from Rice University and MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University." [1]
