"Baroness Valentine is Chief Executive of London First, acting as representative for some of London’s leading businesses, influencing national and local government. She entered the House of Lords as a Crossbench Peer in 2005, having previously held the role of National Lottery Commissioner. She has established public-private regeneration partnerships: the Central London Partnership in 1995, the Blackburn Partnership in 1988 and is a board member of TP70 2008 (II) a venture capital trust. Baroness Valentine is an Honorary Fellow of St Hugh’s College Oxford and was awarded an honorary doctorate by Roehampton University."
