Arthur Ravenel, Jr.
Senator Arthur Ravenel, Jr. represents District 34 (Charleston-Georgetown-Horry Counties) in the South Carolina State Senate.
Ravenel is Lowcountry Regional Chairman for 2008 Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani's political campaign.
In June 2007, Ravenel replaced his son, South Carolina State Treasurer Thomas Ravenel, who "was forced to resign after being indicted for cocaine distribution".[1]

Ravenel served in the U.S. Marine Corps (1945-46); in the U.S. House of Representatives (1987-95); and previously served in the S.C. State House of Representatives (1953-58) and State Senate (1981-86, 1997-03).[2].
